LGBTQ+ Equity and Inclusion in Education

Education should be a space where every student, educator, and administrator feels seen, valued, and supported—regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. My work centers LGBTQ+ equity, inclusion, and belonging in educational institutions and community organizations, ensuring that policies, programs, and leadership structures reflect the diverse realities of LGBTQ+ individuals.

Our Services

Why This Work Matters

LGBTQ+ students, especially those at the intersections of race, class, and immigration status, continue to experience higher rates of academic disengagement, mental health challenges, and institutional neglect. Institutions must take proactive steps to ensure that LGBTQ+ students and staff are not just included but actively celebrated and supported.

By integrating LGBTQ+ equity into the foundation of institutional policies and practices, we can create schools and universities that embrace diversity, foster resilience, and empower LGBTQ+ individuals to thrive.

My Experience
and Approach

gay latino

As a gay Latino raised in a working-class immigrant community, I intimately understand the barriers LGBTQ+ students and educators face in navigating education systems that were not built with them in mind.

My lived experience, coupled with over 20 years of leadership in higher education and community organizing, has positioned me as a thought leader in creating LGBTQ+ affirming spaces that foster belonging and success.
